While we are a dry hire venue, we don’t just pass over the keys and leave you to it. We want to make sure your set-up day and wedding day run smoothly and are as stress-free as possible.

On your set-up day:

  • The required quantity of tables and chairs will be brought into the barn for you to arrange in your preferred layout
  • We’ll welcome you to the barn and answer any initial questions
  • A handover meeting at the end of the day will demonstrate how to use the sound system and cover any other essential details

On your wedding day:

  • If you’re getting legally married at Moat Hall Barns, we are required to be present while the registrars are on-site. We’ll ensure your interviews with the registrar happen on time and that your ceremony runs without disruption
  • If your ceremony is by The Lakeside or in The Covered Yard, we will pack away the ceremony chairs when you’re finished
  • After your wedding breakfast, we’ll facilitate moving the dining furniture out of the barn to create space for your dance floor and evening reception

If you’d like us to be more involved, check out our Wedding Coordination option.

We can accommodate up to 120 daytime guests seated, and up to 150 guests for an evening reception. Please see Our Spaces for full details on the capacity of different ceremony, dining, and reception areas.

This venue is truly stunning. We loved the vision Amy and Ben had for the barn back in 2022 and didn’t hesitate to choose if for our special day.
The view, the grounds and the barn are all beautiful.
We chose to have our ceremony outdoors and our wedding breakfast in the barn, to finish the day we had a tipi on the paddock.
Everything was amazing and we could really put our stamp on the venue with it being DIY, which was super important to us.
I can’t recommend Moat Hall Barns more, thank you so much again!

We spent a lot of time looking at venues online, knowing that we wanted a dry hire venue which turned out to be much more difficult to find than we thought! We came across Moat Hall Barns and instantly booked a viewing. It was actually the only venue we viewed in person – we only needed to visit once to know that it was perfect!
Amy and Ben were so knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire process. We absolutely loved knowing that the venue truly was dry hire and that we could craft our day into exactly what we wanted it to be! We opted to pay for their wedding organiser package and we were blown away by the support and advice offered both in the run up to the wedding and on the day itself to make sure that every element ran as smoothly as it did. Everything was perfect and we honestly couldn't fault a thing.
We were able to hand over communications with our vendors to Amy and Ben which really took the stress off in the weeks leading up to the wedding. They were so accommodating and allowed us to have everything the way we wanted it - including a silent disco to end the night! Our guests have not stopped raving about how brilliant and well organised the venue was.
We also absolutely loved the glamping pod that we were able to stay in the night of the wedding – it was just so lovely to be able to stay at the venue.
Overall, we had the most perfect day and would recommend the venue to anyone! Thank you so much Amy and Ben for everything!

We cannot begin to describe our gratitude to Amy & Ben and Moat Hall Barns for facilitating our dream wedding!
The venue itself is utterly beautiful and has been restored with so much thought and love. There are so many different spaces and elements to use, all incredible and the versatility makes for great photos and zero weather worries! It is the perfect, most gorgeous, blank canvas to personalise however you want to. We adored it from the moment we saw it and it lived up to every expectation. Amy & Ben were so helpful and kind and made us feel important right from the get go.
Amy & Ben also coordinated our day and brought all our hopes, ideas and dreams to reality. The day ran like clockwork, every element had been considered and no task was too big or too small. They really took all the stress away from us so we could just enjoy our big day. We would recommend 1000x over and cannot thank them enough.

We had the most incredible wedding reception at Moat Hall Barns and received so many amazing comments from our guests.
I don't need to describe the beauty of the venue as the photos speak for themselves.
Amy and Ben were fantastic from start to finish! We felt so comfortable and at ease from our first visit, and they were incredibly helpful during the planning.
They coordinated for us on the day and it was absolute perfection, we didn't have to think about anything, we just relaxed and had the best time!
We cannot thank you enough, it really was the best day ever!
